more new junk and cool stuff

I know it's only been a month or so since the last update, which puts this way ahead of schedule, but since we have new stuff out, I thought it would be good to share!

SPR-011 is the debut cassette from Short Feelings, which is called "Part Three." Feel-good power pop/punk hits sure to make your summer kinda okay. Recommended for fans of Kill The Hippies and Great Plains. How do those two relate? I don't know.

As for bands that are super important, SOUPSPOON also have a new release! It's called "Music Doesn't Really" (SPR-012) and has been a very polarizing release for their fandom. Personally, I think it's their best yet. It kicks harder and louder and quieter and shorter than anything since their last one. Esteemed producer man Eric Schraibman recorded it and did it nice and big sounding, which is impressive, considering what a small room it was recorded in.

We have only loose plans for what comes next. There's a weirdo synth-punk type record on the way at some point (catalog number undetermined) as well as the exciting new excitement from The Angry Squirrels, which I'm pretty excited about. SOUPSPOON have also informed me that they're going to be recording again within the next few weeks and you know I'll always release anything SOUPSPOON sends me. Vaguely Threatening spinoff group The Danni Experience is also hard at play, so maybe they will have something ready to go at some point. We also have some vague notion to work more with the Fort Eric crew on some projects and also to perhaps collaborate with DJ Goth Nascar on some cool stuff.

So besides all that stupid nonsense, we also got reviewed in Ear Of Corn! This is very exciting for us, as editor-in-chief Food was very kind about releases SPR-001, SPR-001, SPR-003, SPR-004, SPR-005, SPR-006, SPR-007, and SPR-009. For those keeping score, that means he reviewed almost all of them, which is really really cool.

I think that's most of what's new around here. We also still have copies of "old friends of mine" by k.d.t (a release that grows on me every time I listen to it) and probably other stuff too if you're interested. Or whatever. Take care.
